Marjorie is a believer that our experiences, good or bad, only come to make us better. We can choose to be broken and accept defeat or we can REACHH the goals we’ve always envisioned for ourselves.
Marjorie is a retired Department of Defense civilian. After paid and volunteer positions for crisis counseling, she obtained a Doctorate in Biblical Counseling to aid in her service to others. Her plate has always been full with part time jobs in addition to her government job. She is still active with many organizations and businesses and serves on two community boards. Remaining active has always been a key in her desire to press on and keep it moving in life.
Marjorie has lived by her outlook on life by becoming an overcomer of domestic violence that she endured from a teen until her mid-30s. Her desire is to offer hope for many sufferers to realize that their current situation does not have to be the end result.
Her desire to help victims of domestic violence led to intensive training that helped to free her from the clutches of physical, emotional, mental and sexual abuse in her first marriage. She was enlightened on the devastating impact on her children witnessing abuse firsthand. Her desire is help teens escape the snares of teen violence and educate mothers on their power to spare their children from lifelong affects of living in an abusive household.
She has volunteered at police stations, domestic violence shelters along with teen pregnancy centers and female prisons. Her belief in life has always been to ensure those who may feel hopeless know that they can overcome and live life again in grand and successful ways!
In spite of her horrid first marriage, she was blessed with the man of her dreams. Her world was shattered with the sudden passing of her second husband. What seemed like insurmountable and uncontrollable grief was overtaken by hope. She is the author of ‘Reaching The Rainbow Through The Storms: Empowering Widows to Embrace Life, Reignite Hope and Live Life.’
Her goal is to share her journey with hopes to encourage others to overcome their valley experiences and provide outlets to share and care for others. She has found that helping others is truly therapeutic in overcoming your own ills. Her desire is for all to REACHH their own version of their ‘happy’ place. Through her journey, she has received training for End of Life Doula and plans to share her services to help others through the loss of their loved ones.
